Coast Botanical Garden of the Veneto Region
The Botanical Garden covers an area of about 44 hectares on the southern coast of Rosolina Mare.
It was created in 1990 by the Veneto Region with the aim of preserving a unique natural environment of considerable scientific interest. Later, the area was designated as a Site of Community Importance (SCI) and became part of the Po Delta Regional Park of Veneto.
You will have the chance of walking along the paths of an area that stands out as a unique site in the national and international panorama, especially from a botanical point of view. Thanks to the several plant species preserved on site, the Botanical Garden plays an important role both in preserving biodiversity (of habitats and species) and in raising awareness about respecting these environments.
During your visit to the Coast Botanical Garden, you can follow three different paths. The shortest one is mainly focused on the pine forest, the intermediate one includes all the environments except the brackish water area, while the longest one also includes this wetland.
